End of Summer update!

Hi Everyone!

This summer has been really great and very, very busy. I've enjoyed all of the new people I've been able to photograph and there's nothing better than working with my returning clients!

FALL/XMAS SESSIONS: I am almost booked solid for wknds this Sept-Nov. Please book asap if you need a wknd session. Evenings are not possible for outdoor sessions anytime after Sept as we will not have enough light. Mon-Fri sessions are still available for most wks. This is tough because I really want to be able to book in returning clients but there are only so many hours I can book so please book asap.

The STUDIO is up and running now...come Sept I will be purchasing many more backgrounds and I look forward to working in studio this Fall/Winter. I am thinking on running a weekly promotion for studio shoots from Oct-March (Monday Madness) where discounted sessions can be booked during that day. More details on that soon.

MINI SESSIONS: With so many things going on I'm taking my time promoting my upcoming mini sessions although they are starting to get booked. If you want a Halloween or Xmas mini session for your kids here's the info as well as if any woman wants to do a boudoir mini for their spouse for Xmas...

Can't believe how long it has been since I've updated my blog. For quick updates and sneak peeks I'm always, always updating my Facebook page so please join me there!

It is nice to be able to write a bit more than a status every once in awhile so here's some recent news, info, and upcoming ventures.

The Studio...

Well this has been a process but officially my studio will be up and running this month. My wonderful hubby and friends surprised me with doing all the flooring so now we just have to do a coat of paint and I've already bought a tonne of decor and props to set up. CANNOT WAIT! This Fall and Winter it will be easy to book shoots for children, small families, and Xmas photos. Still love the outdoor ones so I'll of course be booking both.

>You are doing this session to feel glamorous and sexy so make sure you relax and are ready to have fun with the process. Nvision productions has the client privacy promise so that you can ensure only the photographer will view and edit your photos. Sensual, sassy, sultry ..customize your shoot to your comfort level. Wear as little or as much as you would like.

>Wear a bit more make-up than usual unless you are going for a natural look.

>Having your nails painted, using necklaces as props and high heels are perfect.

>Practice your face in the mirror to get an idea of the expression you like for these type of photos. It is one of the few types of photography where a big smile isn’t ideal.

>A variety of outfits with different materials and colours are great. Anything from really skimpy lingerie to a man’s jersey and tube socks!

>Wearing your hair down without too much product allows for us to change it up if you want different looks.

>Look at men's magazine's like Maxim or a Victoria Secret catalogue as these are the type of poses and faces you may want to be doing.

>Don't use too much make-up to cover up blemishes as they will be easily removed in the editing process.

Another venture Nvision is a part of is something I feel really strongly about. Woman feeling good about themselves and taking time for themselves. We are Partnering up with Lucia Hairdesign to create 'Ladies night out' events, starting with a Mother's Day themed night. Here's the details...

Studio Update:

The Studio will be part-time as I love being outside and I am opening it while I'm going into my busy outdoor season. I will book studio sessions Mon, Wed, Friday's and the rest of the time will be spent doing the regular shoots outdoors. If anyone has any old random items that they think would be great for the studio please let me know. It's amazing what some people would think is junk is actually awesome for studio props (old wooden boxes, suitcases, flower pots etc.). A rough date for the opening of the studio is the end of April but possibly earlier :)

Weddings:

I am gearing up and looking forward to this years wedding season as I think it's going to be crazy busy but pretty fantastic. 2012 is starting to book fast (3 weddings booking this wk) so please don't hesitate to contact me if you are wanting to book. $200 non-refundable deposit is what you will need to book the date.

To celebrate the opening of a part-time studio here is a contest that anyone and everyone can enter.

Winner receives 1 hr studio photo session for up to 2 adults and 3 children, CD with all edited photos & an 8x10 print. If we receive more than 20 entries there will be a second session given away.

Here's the fun stuff...I've been trying to come up with a different photo contest so here's hoping this is fun and everyone gets involved. Invite your friends and family to 'Like' the page to create their own photo and/or vote for yours.

To ENTER the CONTEST you need to get out your camera and in a CrEaTIvE way spell out the word 'Nvision'. This isn't about the technical side, this is all about being creative so you do not need to worry about the type of camera you use. Email your photo to info@nvisionproductions.ca by MARCH 12th TO ENTER the photos will be posted in an Album on the Nvision pg the following day. The photo with the most 'LIKES' on MARCH 21st wins.

• Anyone can enter as long as they are willing to travel to Belleville for the session.

• Minimal photo editing allowed (to be fair to those who are not trained in photoshop etc.) Colour corrections, BW, colour enhancements are types of editing that are allowed.

With Facebook always changing discussion boards are not an option on my page right now so I wanted to write a blog about Boudoir photos (Not just for Valentine's)

With wedding season starting very soon many Brides are interested in Boudoir sessions for their hubby's-to-be. A lot of people do the regular type of wedding gifts but how about surprising him with something completely personal and unique. You will feel amazing and sexy and he will probably not be able to get his chin off the ground. This is something every woman should do for herself no matter what age, shape or size.

Here's what one of my clients wrote me afterwards...

"After struggling for over 10 years with body image issues, not being able to look in a mirror with the lights on at my face and having no photos of me takin since I was 12 you would have thought I was crazy to get boudoir photos done....But a friend of mine had, had them done and convinced me it would help with my little secret.. low self esteem.

After much coaxing I finally called and made an appointment with fingers crossed. The day finally arrived and while having a small panic attack on the way over for the shoot I was gonna give it a go. After meeting Nicole I was put at ease but still a little nervous.
After changing into my first outfit and being told you'll do fine by both my friend and Nicole the shoot started. Now remember I haven't been in front of a camera in 10yrs so its a bit nerve racking but I felt like I really connected with Nicole and trusted her. For the first time I was comfortable in my skin even though it was my first time meeting her. She was patient,kind,new the right things to say to put me at ease and gave great direction, needless to say I recieved my photos and actually cried. They turned out amazing!!! I looked like I knew what I was doing, like I wasn't scared, and I smiled in them!! Nicole really changed my life by helping me to see what other people do when they look at me, she gave me confidence, helped me fight my fears and made me feel good about myself. If it wasn't for Nicole I still wouldn't have any photos of myself.

This is why I love what I do! It feels amazing for me as a photographer to be able to show a beautiful woman she is beautiful. Too many people have low self-esteem because of the society we live in and I love seeing real woman with or creating real confidence!

As everyone knows natural light, location photography is my specialty however the opportunity to open my own studio has came about and I am hoping to have it open part-time this April. The Easter Sessions although before April will be held at this location. I look forward to this new adventure and having the option to do indoor sessions if needed. I'm very excited to think about backgrounds and props and use my creative side in a bit different way then I have over the past 3 yrs. I look forward to the Spring indoor and outdoor shoots and the warmer weather. February update!

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd quickly update my blog about anything that is going on besides the Winter Referral special, which is going great...thanks to all who have booked.

Weddings:

2011 is booked solid from May 14th until Nov 12th. I unfortunately cannot take on anymore Friday weddings because I want to make sure I give all the weddings I have booked the time I need to edit every photo the way I normally do.

I am thinking of taking on a summer student or a few summer students to assist at weddings and gain experience so if anyone is interested please send me a 'resume' or something about yourself and some samples of your work.

2012 is starting to book quite fast now that 2011 has hit so if anyone would like to hold their wedding date it is a $200 deposit and the date is yours!

Besides that the Valentine's mini sessions went great and I think I may set up a Easter mini session day for children...more to come on that in the future and it would be inside this time.

A Belly and a Baby

Welcome baby Sophie. Pam & Andrew welcomed their baby girl Jan 4th and after a few set backs (darn flu season!!!) we finally got some newborn shots a bit later than usual but none-the-less still adorable!

Ashley is due at the beginning of March and I cannot wait to meet and photograph her baby girl. You wouldn't know it but it was -22 while taking these outdoor photos which was Ashley's idea so I'm up for whatever the client is hehe. The rest were taken indoors and she is a very easy subject..super photogenic and a perfect baby belly.

Engagements!

My first January engagement shoot! Shaunna & Kyle braved the cold weather, trekked through massive amounts of snow, and were up for anything which was great. Easy couple to work with and I really look forward to their wedding this October!

Shawna & Devin met me in Picton for their engagement shoot back in the Fall. They are a really great couple and it wasn't hard to capture their love. They also seem like they want to have fun with their wedding pictures so I'm really looking forward to their July wedding!

Pam & Andrew were expecting a baby girl right after Xmas and I got to capture her Perfectbaby belly at 37 wks. (Baby Sophie took her time hehe) I love who much love you can see between them in the picture below. :)
My second time working with Sonya & Kyle they wanted fall photos so we headed out to the County and were lucky enough to have the perfect day to do them. We had a blast doing random set ups around the orchard they were up for anything!

The Glenn family has the cutest lil' guy! Look at the smile. 18 months old and full of energy...kids this age you don't pose, you capture! The more natural the better I think. I look forward to working with this family again.

More Families from the end of 2010

I worked with the Wilson family in the Spring and was lucky enough to do their Xmas photos as well this year. Hayden is full of energy and it was hard to keep up with the little man but I think we got some great photos (nice candids too) and a nice work out at the same time hahaha
The Sharpe family came to me in the Spring for Olivia's 1 yr shoot and I loved working with them again this past fall. Olivia wasn't a big fan of the photos but it's hard to go wrong with a kid this cute so we worked with any time we could get her in front of the camera. I had a lot of shoots with kids 1.5-2 yrs old this Fall and even though it's one of the most difficult ages I still love it! Everyone needs a good challenge.

Nataly and Adam came to me for maternity photos back in Spring 2009 and now I had the pleasure of photographing their lil' guy. He was really easy, especially for a toddler and just simply adorable.
I met the Down family right at their home outside of town and had a great time shooting their family photos this year. Their 2 daughters were adorable and keeping them in their own environment made the shoot easier I think. Look at the smiles!

2011 Let's Go!!!

Hey Everyone!
